  • Marriott announced their new hotel brand, Project Mid-T, aimed at family and business travelers. The brand will offer modern guest rooms, business-friendly lounges, and simpler fees. 

  • American Airlines flight attendants are preparing for a potential strike as recent contract negotiations with the airline came up short, which could disrupt summer travel.

  • According to IATA's latest estimate, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production will triple this year, reaching approximately 500 million gallons. However, for the industry to achieve its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, SAF production must increase 1,000-fold. 

The Good

  • Hard Rock International is honoring Pride Month with its annual "LOVE OUT LOUD" campaign this June, featuring themed celebratory events and special offerings at Hard Rock Hotels, casinos, cafés and Rock Shops around the globe.

The Bad

  • Spotify has received backlash on social media for raising monthly subscription prices for a second time this year without paying artists more. The subscription will increase from $1 to $11.99 and will go into effect next month.
